When I joined Lonza in Houston, it was already one of the largest and most interesting Biotech companies in the region. In the five years since, there have been huge advances in the cell and gene therapy (CGT) industry, and Lonza has been a leader in this revolutionary field. As Lonza has grown, my career has grown with it.
I started in Process Development, then moved to the Program Management (PM) group after two years. During that time, I managed several client projects through development, tech transfer and manufacturing, and developed my expertise in continuous process improvement. A year ago, I was promoted to PM Group Lead for Process Development.
Now, I am managing a group of eight people, as well as playing a business partner role for Process Development. The focus is delivering products on time to support clients’ clinical trials for novel therapeutics – our work helps new treatments to reach patients faster. The CGT world is so full of potential, and there is nowhere better for me to continue to learn and grow.
