The Head of Shift BioConjugates IBEX role at Lonza AG is an outstanding opportunity for a proven leader to join a world-class team in VISP Switzerland. Our BioConjugates division is experiencing dynamic growth, and we're looking for someone to compete at the highest levels, strictly adhering to our ambitious standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage shift team leaders and their teams, including qualifications, incentives, salary, training, development, and careers, in alignment with Lonza's vision, culture, and proficiencies.
- Review and enforce disciplinary measures within shift teams.
- Coordinate the long-term and cost-optimized planning of shift teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety culture, encompassing general workplace safety and safe behavior of the shift team.
- Participate actively in the BioConjugates PCP/Ibex management team.
- Recruit for all open positions within the shift team.
- Successfully implement innovation projects within shift teams.
- Promote individual team members in accordance with Lonza's culture and values.
- Conduct employee reviews, discuss MAP and IDP, set goals, and perform regular reviews as per Workday.
- Assist with incident clarification, define and implement corrective measures, and detail these in SAP.
- As a member of the Teamlead Manufacturing Biologics and Small Molecule Visp, ensure the efficient allocation of free resources.
- Participate in internal audits of shift teams.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team (HR, PCC) as Functional Lead for the integration of long-term absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in chemical/pharmaceutical technology. Preferred field of study: biotechnology, biochemistry or related fields
- Several years of experience as a team leader, including personnel planning; experience in GMP and safety regulations.
- Good understanding of GMP and HR processes; strong expertise in biotechnology; proficient in English. German is a strong asset.
- Very strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels; strong team orientation and conceptual skills.
- Shows a structured, focused, and well-organized work style; open to new ideas and suggestions; motivated and dynamic.
