At Lonza data is considered a strategic asset to conduct business, gain insight, and bring value. The focus of the Data Governance Manager is on directing Enterprise structure elements and base data structure setup in SAP and other systems, i.e. principles, process, people and tools to ensure base structure integrity, related data quality and transparency. The Data Governance Manager is also engaged to further develop the Lonza data framework which is used globally across the company and numerous systems. The role is also acting as Data Governance Business Partner to corporate projects like the introduction of SAP S/4 HANA.
Key responsibilities:
Direct, design, advise and manage Enterprise Structure Data setup to ensure high quality data are available for the different corporate and business projects.
Establish proven data governance and information architecture on configuration data, organizational elements and master data (i.e. set the multi-pillar Lonza Data Governance principles in place)
Prepare data migration on above mentioned data sets
Advise on data cleansing based on established procedures
Support M&A and divestures projects, i.e. advise on organizational elements setup and train 3rd party integrator/disintegrator
Act as data structure business partner in the different S/4 HANA project workstreams on data migration, data harmonization, data cleansing for the above mentioned data objects
Act as deputy data structure business partner on data design, future data organization and future data governance orchestration
Prepare data archiving concept
Guide and train business users on standards while managing relationships with various collaborators
Manage tools used in Enterprise Structure Management and coordinate with internal and external IT service providers
Key requirements:
Master in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or IT or apprentice level + 10 years of experience in commercial business environment with data related duties
5+ years working experience either in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance in an international company with a complex matrix management structure
Experience in Project Management
Proficient in English, knowledge of German preferred
Knowledge with SAP ERP & BW systems or other systems in relation to data management and reports is an asset
Strength in proactive communication, active listening and crafting “new territory”
