The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible for supporting the procurement processes by handling complex purchasing activities, ensuring
the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role requires advanced knowledge of procurement practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
Manage and execute purchase order for goods and services based on approved requisitions.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Track and expedite order to ensure timely delivery.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to achieve cost savings.
Vendor Management
Maintain and update vendor records, including contracts, pricing, and performance evaluations.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Address and resolve supplier issues, including delivery delays, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
Projects
Support the CAPEX team in setting up lump sum and CAR capital projects in the beginning phases of the project lifecycle.
Support the CAPEX team in SAP coding for Capital Projects as needed.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand.
Documenting and Reporting
Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and vendor performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
Training
Remain up to date on all assigned training activities including SAP Learning Portal (>95%), Compliance (no overdue), and iComply (no overdue).
Key Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Mgmt., or related field.
3+ years of relevant experience
Understands and explains the corporate strategy to his/her peers
and/or team
Provides feedback to his/her managers on the content of the strategy and its implementation
Sets and delivers on individual and team objectives that support the company strategy
Uses knowledge of his/her business area and related areas to make correct and timely decisions
Uses knowledge of his/her own business area and related areas toidentify and develop operational/financial improvements
