Lonza has a student internship opportunity to join their MSAT team at their Bend, Oregon location.

This is a paid summer internship. Duration is for summer 2025 with some flexibility with start dates and end dates to accommodate life and school schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and apply chemical and engineering fundamentals including, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, conservation of mass and energy, and basic mathematical modeling
• Drive Operational Excellence of commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing processes by identifying projects to improve yield, lower costs, and improve efficiency
• Support development and transfer of pharmaceutical processes into a commercial manufacturing environment
• Learn and understand how to safely operate a range of instruments and equipment and demonstrates proficiency for achieving quality results
• Assess impact of changes to the product, process, equipment, procedures, or materials
• Perform intermediate data analysis, such as out of control, trends, shifts and linear regression
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree
• Promote safety and demand high quality standards for work being performed
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, and be team-oriented
