Key responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of customer drug product clinical and commercial transfers of high complexity for biological drug products of different modalities.
Lead a team of Technology Transfer (TT) Leaders of varying seniority based on project and customer complexity.
Ensure project transfers for liquid and lyophilized parenteral drug products of biologics align with internal and external standards.
Provide required oversight of the TT group’s work and performance, including approval of technology transfer documentation, process validation packages, and regulatory modules.
Own the technology transfer strategy across product life cycles, including gating processes from new product introduction to PPQ readiness.
Ensure alignment with pharmaceutical development, local MSAT organizations, regulatory affairs, and quality/QC functions.
Optimally network and liaise with partner units within the network to ensure strategic and technical alignment with overall Lonza strategy.
Key requirements:
Ph.D. or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical engineering, biochemistry, or related fields.
Highly Experienced (+15 y) in biotech / pharma industry with demonstrated experience in aseptic DP manufacturing, late phase / pre-BLA and commercial transfers for biological products, including regulatory filing and PAI.
Development experience in lyophilization as well as combination DP is desired.
Good communication skills and command of English, both written and oral; knowledge of German is highly valuable.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; proven track record as a great teammate and ability to manage multi-functional teams including resource management.
Excellent planning and organizing skills, including project management and risk management.
