Job Description:

Responsible for operation and maintenance of all plant utilities and for delivering sufficient quantities of high-quality utilities to the manufacturing operation.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure contracts, execute purchasing strategies and monitor delivery of all engineering projects for the site. 
  • Responsible for clean utilities (WFI, Pure Steam, Production gasses, etc.) and other utilities (soft water, plant steam, chilled water). 
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of HVAC and BAS systems as well as wastewater pretreatment systems. 
  • Procure contracts, execute purchasing strategies and monitor usage for site utilities such as natural gas, electricity and water.  Ensure accuracy and cost effectiveness of energy consumption site wide. 
  • Ensure that utilities and maintenance systems, execution and documentation are efficient and defendable during inspection.  Ensures timely response to regulatory issues and inspection findings.  Acts as initial point of contact to regulatory bodies on audits and regulatory matters pertaining to facility maintenance and upkeep.  
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all procedures, policies and regulations regarding provided utilities and services. 
  • Provides technical and developmental coaching to all staff members within the engineering and maintenance organization. 
  • Manages staff in the execution of technical projects with accountability for objectives and subsequent evaluation. 
  • Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear 
  • Promptly report identified Safety and Sustainability issues, problems, deficiencies, errors, incidents, and/or opportunities to management and correct where possible 
  • Stop work where deemed necessary to maintain safety 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Pharma cGMP experience preferred
