Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and ensure completion of OE, Training, Productivity Improvement initiatives within SM manufacturing.  Drive lean operation with manufacturing.
  • Apply Lonza Project Methodology to organize and deliver agreed improvements according to deadlines and targets
  • Coordination and resource management for according projects
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Lead the site strategic initiative to set up PfQCR (Planning for quality control and reliability) system for the site and be the owner of the system
  • Lead effective operation of PfQCR system through the whole manufacturing process, from tech transfer, process development to manufacturing and delivery.
  • Safeguard key KPI for the stie, such as production lost days and nr of major above deviations.
  • Lead site breakthrough project to achieve significant improvement on productivities, especially for the cross department projects.
  • Lead VSM analysis and improvement for the manufacturing
  • Coach innovation and improvement projects for the site
  • Coach leaders in servant leadership principles to support the rollout of lean systems and foster a collaborative and empowered workforce
  • Perform OE related training together with OE peers
  • Support trouble shooting in manufacturing, include coach the team to improve troubleshooting capabilities and systematic thinking.
  • Perform other systematic improvement per required by site leadership
  • Establish a common library of systems, tools, and visual management techniques to create a standardized approach to operational excellence across the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: BS/MS in science/engineering discipline, depending upon experience. Preferred area of study: Masters in Science / Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
  • At least 10 years working experiences in manufacturing industry. Chemical related industry are preferred
  • OE: Black belt. Rich hands on experiences in improvement projects. Ability to run and complete projects. In person finished at least 3 black belt projects in the past. Familiar with DOE.
  • Ability to represent status and importance of project convincingly to all stakeholders.
  • Advanced skill and experiences for coaching other people to conduct projects.
  • Good command of English, especially oral English.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good data processing skills, such as Macro for Excel
  • A capable person with high potential to take different key leadership role in future.
