Inclusion, Diversity & Belonging (IDB)

Just as our success depends on our people, so does our ability to create a community where every person is supported and empowered to enable a healthier world. Inclusion is the action. Diversity is the result. Belonging is our cultural ambition.

Inclusion is one of Lonza’s four core values, alongside integrity, innovation and initiative. We understand the value of our differences and the benefits they bring to our company, community and culture. We also recognize the value of every person’s contribution, regardless of characteristics, preferences and beliefs – including race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and religion.

Our Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging (IDB) Council is committed to maintaining a true sense of inclusion and belonging through exploring and embracing every aspect of diversity. We offer a combination of awareness and education programs, often in partnership with relevant groups and organizations. We also uphold a zero-tolerance approach towards any harassment and bullying behaviors. These commitments span across our whole colleague community and executive management, where we have an ambition to actively promote gender equality by increasing the proportion of women in leadership.
