The Group Leader Logistics manages the Shipment Office as well as the warehouses. By that, he/she is responsible for flawless execution of all Logistics relevant processes, from receiving, booking and storing of incoming direct and indirect materials to storing finished goods and serving orders by sending the products to our customers by diligently selected carriers.
Key responsibilities:
Management of the shipment/warehousing team
Ensure proper and professional receiving and warehousing processes in close cooperation with Purchasing, Production, Quality and R&D
Process customer orders in SAP system
Liase with global Customer Service teams to ensure shipments meet customer requirements
Manage import/export, shipping and other associated documentation
Use D2E based KPIs as well as create and maintain Cologne specific Logistics related KPIs for injecting a continuous improvement and learning culture in the Logistics team
Take internal budget responsibility for Logistics cost centers
Take responsibility for on-the-job-safety in the Logistics working area
Organize Logistics area according to 6S criteria
Key requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics or hands on working experience in the area
- Dealing with Import and Export regulations
- SAP user experience
- Fluent German and English language knowledge
- Working experience with GMP and ISO standards
