A Biotech Associate I executes manufacturing (cell- and tissue culturing) of cell therapy products and setting up and monitoring machines and equipment in accordance with Lonza procedures in a GMP cleanroom environment, under supervision of Biotech Associate II or Senior Biotech Associate. These activities include but are not limited to: preparation activities; process pre-checks; manufacturing aseptic process manipulations; operating cell processing systems (i.e. cell sorter, media preparation); cleaning and disinfection activities.
Working in shifts is required for this role. Shift model can vary based on project need. Currently we are interviewing with a view to start successful candidates in Q1 of 2025.
Responsibilities:
Successfully complete and pass Lonza onboarding training and project specific training and qualification program.
Carrying out all tissue culture activities for cell therapy, from starting material to final product, according to relevant procedures, under supervision.
Carrying out associated duties e.g. required cleaning of production areas, assisting in (re)qualification of equipment, and logistic activities under supervision.
Execution and verification of all required process steps in approved batch records (paper or digital), under supervision.
Notification of supervisor of all observed deviations in a timely manner.
Key requirements:
- Technical/vocational degree (MBO4 / HBO) in the Field of pharma/Biotech/Lab
- Related experience 0 - 4 years
- English language skills, verbal & written
- Working in continue shifts
