Our partnerships and sponsorships reflect our passion for excellence, responsibility and trust. Our aim is to support Valais culture, sports and social community programs and events, while maintaining strategic partnerships in the areas of education, innovation and sustainability.
HES-SO
In January 2020, Lonza Visp and the HES-SO Valais-Wallis entered into a strategic partnership to develop joint competencies in the fields of education and research. To meet the challenges of Industry 4.0, we founded a joint research platform specializing in industrial biotechnology, called the "Advanced Biomanufacturing Lab”. With a joint budget of CHF 5.9 million over ten years, the aim is to develop industrial competences in the digitalization, automation and control of biotechnological processes.
The mission of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis together with Lonza Visp is to provide a qualified workforce for the economic, social and cultural fabric of the Valais.
Urban Connect
Together with Urban Connect, we want to play an active role in shaping our future transport connections. At our Visp site, a fleet of five e-cars, 80 e-bikes, four e-cargo bikes and 40 bikes is available to all Lonza employees around the clock. The bike fleet can be used free of charge to travel within the site, to and from work or to external meetings. This initiative is part of a pilot project to encourage a more environmentally friendly way of getting around.
