Lonza Showcases Chemical Technologies and China Blue Sky Solutions at Chemspec Europe 2018
  • Lonza to feature its wide range of offerings for chemical supplies, including key raw materials that address the needs of customers affected by the China Blue Sky initiatives

Basel, Switzerland, 30 May 2018 – At Chemspec Europe 2018 from 20-21 June 2018 in Cologne (DE), Lonza will showcase its broad spectrum of solutions for customers seeking reliable supplies of key raw materials. In particular, the Lonza experts will present solutions for customers facing supply constraints arising from the China Blue Sky initiatives. These environmental initiatives were introduced for The People's Republic of China by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

“We're addressing customer concerns about sustainability of supplies as a result of the Blue Sky initiatives. Our customers are looking for alternative suppliers with a certain set of raw-materials available and with multi-purpose plants that meet the highest levels of environmental standards, like Lonza,” said Sven Abend, COO of Lonza Specialty Ingredients.

He added: “Because of the challenges in China, we have had more customers switch to Lonza as we offer proven reliability and value for money, as well as the ability to rapidly transfer production to multi-purpose plants in Visp, Switzerland, located in the middle of Europe. The sky in Visp is nearly always blue…and sunny!"
