Lonza Consumer Care Launches Preferred Fragrance Program for EPA-Registered Formulations

Allendale, NJ (USA), 17 November 2015 – Lonza is pleased to announce the launch of a Preferred Fragrance Program (PFP) for its EPA-registered portfolio of surface disinfectants and non-food contact sanitizers.

The program includes four leading suppliers of fragrances to the Household, Industrial and Institutional (HI&I) cleaning markets. These partners – Arylessence, Chemia, Givaudan and Sozio – are premier fragrance suppliers to formulators and marketers of HI&I cleaning chemicals, including antimicrobials. Through our partners the program will provide customers a full palette of on-trend, cost-effective fragrances and streamline the process to meet formulators' fragrance needs. The program will include:

1) New fragrance options: A wide selection of new, pre-approved fragrance options for Lonza's EPA-registered liquid and wipe disinfectant formulations will be available. Each PFP partner has established a broad portfolio of fragrance types suited for use across our customers' core markets and applications in consumer, healthcare, institutional and other markets.

2) New fragrance development: Each partner will conduct the necessary testing to qualify new fragrances for Lonza's formulations on the customers' behalf. Validated options can then be submitted to the EPA for addition to the Confidential Statement of Formula.

“The Preferred Fragrance Program should greatly enhance the quality and service Lonza can offer formulators with regard to fragrance choices,” said Craig Carter, North America Marketing Manager for the Hygiene business within Lonza Consumer Care. “Fragrances are critically important to our customers. Lonza is proud to partner with four leading fragrance suppliers and offers them the market knowledge, customer orientation, technical and regulatory capabilities necessary to provide market-leading service and fragrances to our mutual customers.”
