Lonza in Visp is looking for a Senior Project Manager for the Site Development. This position will be responsible for cost, schedule and deliverables in all phases of capital projects.
Key responsibilities:
Site Masterplanning
- Responsible to develop, maintain and adjust the operational Visp Site Masterplan, provide baseline, review options and drive governance for future developments according to business and stakeholder needs. Regularly align with Strategic Site Masterplan
- Lead the site commission planning and engage with key stakeholders from Engineering and Growth Project Teams to coordinate space usage on site. Escalate request to the appropriate sounding boards incl. Visp Site Leadership Team and Visp Steering Board with global Platform Ops Leads and EC Members
- Ensure proactive management of external stakeholders including surrounding municipality(ies) in support of initiatives affecting the outer site to achieve defined goals (personal, traffic flows)
Development Programs
- Initiate and lead projects and programs end-to-end to develop the employee infrastructure in line with business goals and overall growth (e.g. including Building A, Lonza Avenue, Green Zone/ Lonza Campus). Lead related Steering Committees and actively manage involved stakeholders up to EC level.
- Coach project leads for adjacent initiatives (e.g. Lonza Villa) to ensure overall alignment in delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and transparency based on benchmarks and best practices for the development of infrastructure and services.
- Support establishment of Service Level Agreements for Support Services.
Key requirements:
- Master Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business Administration
- Fluent in both German and English (mandatory)
- A minimum of 10-year experience in the field of Services or Operations in Pharma CDMO Business and Infrastructure
- Highly reliable, can-do attitude and hands-on approach to connect and align with stakeholders across businesses, companies and hierarchy levels
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen and political savviness
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Demonstrated strong communication skills across multiple levels of a multinational organization
- Education in Lean (Black or Green Belt) and/ or project management certification (PMO/ Prince 2) would be an advantage
- The role is located on site and requires local presence
