The role of the HR-Site Head is a key position and part of the Site Leadership Team, reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources! The incumbent leads all HR site aspects and provide strategic HR partnership to the business on all matters related to employee engagement, recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance and talent management, organization development, compliance and employee communication in order to attract, develop, and retain strong talent and appropriately reward employees for performance!

The role ensures that a sustainable organization for the future is being established within a growing and vibrant environment and using resources through the HR services and/or HR centers of expertise (incl. Outsourced partners) of which delivery the incumbent is responsible for enabling. The incumbent leads people aspects of the business transformation including reorganization and driving the change management. This is a key role to help shape and enable high performance teams to make a real impact, working closely with the business and HR colleagues on the culture and aspirations of the business and using insight to drive performance improvements of the site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide HR leadership, consultation, and support to the Site Leadership Team, line managers and employees.
  • Build collaborative and positive relationships with Site Head, Site Leadership team members, internal clients across the site / global HR network to ensure flawless HR strategic business partnering.
  • Ability to craft and implement short term and long term HR strategy in line with business goals and Lonza Vision.
  • Translate and implement globally defined HR strategies into locally applicable action plans.
  • Develop the change management strategy within the site to support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Establish HR operational plan aligned to the site business priorities and implement accordingly. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve employee engagement and site efficiency.
  • Establish and drive organization and talent development actions to ensure strong and robust pipe-line of talent exists to fill both evolving local and global site staffing needs.
  • Implement HR efficiency by tracking & reporting key measures. Take corrective action as needed.
  • Continually challenges the business, instigating and leading projects that improve organization, team and individual efficiency including delivery and facilitation of high performance, organizational effectiveness & design, organization capability, talent management, engagement, processes and culture
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop senior leaders to achieve their full potential.
  • To provide proven HR advice, support and guidance to the site to mitigate risk to the business and promote good employee relations in line with current employment law.
  • Responsible for reaching the global strategic HR objectives (HR metrics including respective action plans to reach the site specific LPB targets)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in HR roles leading all aspects of an HR team as part of senior management, ideally in a BioTech/Pharma Manufacturing setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, HR, psychology, or business administration, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Master’s degree in business or organizational development desired
  • Confirmed sophisticated dynamic experience in HR or equivalent experience
  • Outstanding expertise in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, development, employee relations, safety, training, and labor relations
  • Detailed oral and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Strong analytical skills

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge.
