We are seeking a dynamic MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) Intern to join our team at the Kingston, ON site. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of the MSAT department by supporting data research and helping to build a solid data foundation for the team. The position is a 12-month contract, with the possibility of an extension, and we are looking for candidates who are likely to commit to the full 12-month term. As an MSAT Intern, you will play an integral part in enhancing our processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze product assemblies and component interactions with regards to manufacturability and serviceability to identify improvement needed.

  • Prepare, conduct, and report on trials to investigate into Design Output (specifications, design intent, etc.) to confirm design improvements identified   

  • Collect, summarize, and analyze data to prepare insightful reports and presentations on progress within design improvement projects.

  • Supply to continuous improvement projects, taking ownership of work, you're leading.

  • Develop and prioritize data structures, as well as collect and handle relevant data and documentation to support MSAT processes.

  • Assist in the update and maintenance of validation and equipment databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Collaborate with key collaborators to ensure that validation and equipment data are up-to-date, well-controlled, and aligned with domestic and international laws (e.g., FDA’s Quality System Regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ICH, and applicable European Directives).

  • Maintain data and document integrity across MSAT processes, including validation, maintenance, calibration, and equipment inventory.

  • Analyze historical Tech Transfer and equipment data to establish and maintain new databases.

  • Conduct investigations with suppliers to improve data integrity and optimize equipment data management.

Key requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (3rd or 4th year).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on design output, with a confirmed ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong technical writing skills, with an emphasis on compliance and documentation.

  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate optimally across teams.

  • Ability to translate opportunities into actionable solutions.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Eye for business and understanding of the broader industry context.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including sophisticated skills in MS Office.

  • Experience with database applications and data management tools is highly desirable.
