The Senior SAP Expert, IT Applications is responsible for design, develop and implement SAP system solutions to meet business requirements in the areas of supply chain management and manufacturing execution. Implement global template SAP solution to different divisions and sites within Lonza.

POSITION:                 Senior SAP Expert, IT Applications

JOB LOCATION:      535 Emerald Road N., Greenwood, SC 29646

DUTIES: Design, develop and implement SAP system solutions to meet business requirements in the areas of supply chain management and manufacturing execution. Implement global template SAP solution to different divisions and sites within Lonza. Gather business user requirements and prepare business blue print documents. Configure SAP as per business division/site requirements. Conduct fit gap analysis and design & develop customized solutions to fill the gaps. Prepare functional specifications, unit testing documents, integration testing documents and user acceptance testing documents. Educate super users and prepare training documentation. Coordinate data migration activities with legacy master data team and data migration team. Prepare cut over plan for go live. Provide production support in the areas of SAP warehouse management, materials management, production planning, manufacturing execution systems. Collaborate with end users and resolve any operational issues. Adhere to FDA guidelines in system changes and documentation. Work on enhancement requests and carry out configuration and program changes. Collaborate with 3rd party customer/vendor interfaces. Prepare weekly, monthly status reports. Work closely with our operations teammates and business partners to fully understand the user functionality, pain points, and areas of improvements within our applications. Assist and help the delivery of special projects and small enhancements and assist in reviewing and improving policies and procedures. Review statistics, validate or challenge the way things have always been done and identify areas for process and/or support tool improvements and efficiencies. Responsible for working with our SAP CoE Application Development team, Corporate IT team, Release Management team to plan, implement, and test new releases into our production systems environment. Utilize SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM), Production Planning (PP); engineer execution systems; work 4 full cycle implementations in SAP MM and SAP WM modules and apply the following tools and applications: SAP R/3, SAP ECC, Werum, Camstar or Rockwell Pharmasuite, SAS or i2 supply chain planner, Middleware TIBCO or SAP PI, HP Quality Center, Remedy; organize requirement meetings with business to gather requirements for complex business procedures while providing best business practices knowledge to aid the design process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation gathering and analyzing business requirements; configuring SAP; preparing specification documents; building interfaces; developing system enhancements; preparing test plans; data migration; preparing user training documents; training users; preparing technical and business cutover plans; providing operational support; estimating effort required for changes in the areas of SAP Materials Management ( SAP - MM), SAP Inventory Management (SAP - IM), SAP Warehouse Management (SAP - WM), SAP Production Planning (SAP - PP); implementing 4 full lifecycle SAP, using the SAP MM, SAP WM and SAP PP modules, as applying the following tools and applications: SAP R/3, SAP ECC, Werum, Camstar or Rockwell Pharmasuite, SAS or i2 supply chain planner, Middleware TIBCO or SAP PI, HP Quality Center, Remedy.
