As an Analytical Chemist at Lonza Pharma & Biotech, you'll be part of a closely collaborative team that flourishes with creativity and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing for the release and stability of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, ensuring compliance with the highest standards.
- Perform both basic and intermediate laboratory operations with precision and attention to detail.
- Validate and transfer analytical methods under supervision, applying your knowledge to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC and FTIR, to support dosage form development and manufacturing processes.
- Meticulously record and review laboratory work in notebooks, ensuring that all details are accurately and comprehensively noted.
- Assist in writing and reviewing Bend Test Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under supervision, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.
- Provide basic training for new chemists, encouraging an inclusive and empowering learning environment.
- Sample and test cleaning samples to ensure a contamination-free laboratory environment.
- Support the Subject Matter Expert on special projects, bringing your analytical expertise to collaborate on challenging and innovative initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or a related scientific field, with a solid foundation in analytical techniques.
- Relevant laboratory experience in a related field is preferred, showcasing your ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred, demonstrating your understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Proficiency in operating HPLC, FTIR, and other related laboratory technologies is preferred, highlighting your technical competence.
- Flexibility to work four 10-hour shifts, including one weekend day, ensuring that you can contribute to our ongoing projects.
