We are looking for a Senior Director Global Supply Chain CoE Site Support.

The Senior Director Global Supply Chain CoE Site Support is accountable for deploying and sustaining best-in-class supply chain processes across all the sites. This strategic role focuses on streamlining operations, driving cost efficiencies and establishing a culture of continuous improvement in supply chain processes. The Senior Director will lead a team of 11 implementation experts to collaborate with site and functional leaders.

The role will lead the deployment of global supply chain end to end processes, embedded at all levels in the sites. The person will collaborate with the site leadership team to adapt the global processes and drive compliance.

The role will also drive the sustainability of processes, provide supply chain solutions (i.e., SAP) within the organization, help sites and businesses through assessments and develop implementation plan to address, train users and SMEs, and ensure the appropriate level of documentation (Policies, SOPs, Work Instructions) are in place and embedded into the LONZA Quality System.

In this role the Senior Director Global Supply Chain CoE Site Support will drive the transformation while translating customers’ demand into executable schedules.

The role is accountable for Planning and Material Master Data as well as SAP Blueprint implementation and execution.

Key responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing support to the sites, ensuring successful sustainability to processes and to Blueprints. Is the tactical arm of the Global Supply Chain Excellence strategy at all levels:

  • Defines the roadmap for implementing the global supply chain end to end processes across the Lonza network. Ensure implementation of global supply excellence solutions deployment plan across the Lonza supply network

  • Lead a portfolio of supply chain improvement projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met

  • Monitor supply chain performance post implementation, identifying areas for refinement to improve supply chain efficiency.

  • Supports the development of a regional learning & exchange community of authorities, acts as regional ambassador of coordinated CoE solutions, promotes solutions/options and their success stories, enables change and finds solutions when conflict occurs, promotes learning and recognizes achievements

  • Secures alignment of local practices with globally agreed design intent & policies of the approved Lonza supply chain reference framework.

  • Monitors process adherence and securing sufficient time and priority is allocated for the sustainable implementation of agreed global solutions.

  • Accountable for supervising benefits and efficiency of change

  • Raises deviation from global framework and prioritizes the resolution or drives agreement on deviation

  • Acts a gatekeeper and link between global and local teams and across regions (seamless link, flow of information)

  • Ensures efficient SC team organization, empowering team members and definition of clear roles and responsibilities

Key requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Life science with strong supply chain background experience in a site environment

  • At least 10+ additional years of work experience in multiple Supply Chain site functions with a strong focus on planning, execution and logistics processes

  • SME in SAP

  • Masters APICS CPIM professional standards. Subject matter expert for planning and execution

  • Ability to establish and supervise project delivery. Confirmed experience with prioritizing multiple global and sophisticated projects simultaneously

  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts

  • Good communication and presentation skills, ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner

  • Validated ability to lead up and influencing and coaching people on all hierarchy levels

  • Ideally a manufacturing or technical experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to lead and support empowered employees and leaders in a multi-cultural team environment
